KASE PMKVY – CSSM - IIB RPL PROGRAMME

The Milk Farmers in Kerala constitute the largest Agro- Veterinary supported industry in the state. Despite the collective and cooperative efforts organized by the state and central governments, the milk-producing farmers lay relatively unorganized in the state.

We, IIB Education, submitted a Proposal to Kerala Academy For Skills Excellence on March 2021, for providing skill certification as a part of Recognition of Prior Learning(RPL)-2, under the Centrally Sponsored State Managed component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana(PMKVY) 3.0 in the State of Kerala in association with Kerala Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd(KCMMF), MILMA which is under the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Govt. of Kerala in the agriculture sector.

We planned to focus on the key section of the Bulk Milk Cooler operators who are relatively less organized and not exposed to the latest trend in industry and commerce. We initiated skill development programs for the existing milk farmers under the Qualification Pack of the (QP) Bulk Milk Cooler (BMC) operator. The orientation program under the RPL programs provided the following contributions which made them better-informed and strong against the adversities in the market.

The BMC operators who lay relatively unorganized could get united under a unified learning effort like RPL which would bring them several advantages towards their forward growth.
The existing BMC operators in the industry, particularly those who are closely associated with the KCMMF and those who are directly linked with the industry got a nationally recognized certificate through an orientation program and assessment.
They were provided with the latest information on the Bulk Milk Cooling process, techniques & equipment, personnel safety, plant safety & food safety standards and aspects.
Need for employees to gather the latest information and get upskilled to attain a sustainable job & growth in the industry.

We, IIB Education feel honoured to have received the right to up-skilling the MILMA employees under the RPL program. We are also proud that we could receive a “Certificate of Excellence” from MILMA administration for successfully and systematically conducting the RPL program which is meant for updating and upskilling the BMC operators.
