A student of CCEK is entitled to obtain dual certification on the successful completion of the programme. Subject to the NSDC examination rules stipulated by the NSDC from time to time. The key advantage of the CCEK NSDT skill development programme is that it is a part of the Industry Institute Linkage Training Programme. (IILTP) which is meant to connect the studies with the Industry leaders of the respective service or technology. This gives students with tremendous exposure and little bit of practical experience as they are going through the phase of Industrial Internship as a part of the training programme.

CCEK commands 27 courses in different technology and service sectors under its expanding scope. IIB has been identified that providing skill development education can certainly enhance the employability of the youth as it would pave way for their economic wellbeing.

It is imperative to note that a large number of prestigious educational institutions in Kerala has already became part of the CCEK NSDT campus network.

As we know India being the first in place for its count of youngest population, the Government of India have planned to train 500 Million of its population to develop them into skilled work force of our nation through its 12th five year plan. As a part of this, IIB, as an NSDC partner, have been imparting various skill development programs, E-Learning Programs, RPL programs [Recognition of Prior Learning programs], Entrepreneurship programs etc. in concurrence with the same, we would like to do our best by associating with CCEK to provide various Skill development training programs and allied services.

Taking this fact in to account, it has planned to organize an SRC NSDT INDUSTRY- INSTITUTE LINKAGE PROGRAM.

This is being an era of specialization over every technology, service, or branch of science, NSDC has identified various skill sectors in the priority areas based on the employment potential.

In the above context, each technology or service sector is being divided itself in to different employability based specializations in order to raise job roles in those sectors. Such specializations based on the job roles came to be known as Qualification Packages. (QP’s).

National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) is an autonomous body under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship that anchors the National Skill Qualifications Framework and allied quality assurance mechanisms for synergizing skill initiatives in the country.

NATIONAL SKILL QUALIFICATION FRAMEWORK IS an initiative of NSDA which comes under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. NSDA advocates the key functions and functional boundaries of the NSQF.

The National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) organizes qualifications according to a series of levels of knowledge, skills and aptitude. These levels are defined in terms of learning outcomes which the learner must possess regardless of whether they were acquired through formal, non-formal or informal learning. In that sense, the NSQF is a quality assurance framework. It is, therefore, a nationally integrated education and competency based skill framework that will provide for multiple pathways, horizontal as well as vertical, both within vocational education and vocational training and among vocational education, vocational training, general education and technical education, thus linking one level of learning to another higher level. National Occupational Standards (NOS) describe best practices by bringing together performance criteria, knowledge and skills pertaining to a job role. A set of NOSs related to a specific job role is called Qualification Pack (QP).

CCEK NSDT Campus programme is a fine example of Industry-institute linkage training programme (IILTP) as envisaged by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under their innate vision of skilling the Indian youth, it has made every efforts for skilling and up skilling the Indian workforce by providing skill development education.

The NSDC is also envisages bring the entire skill development education under the framework of National Occupational Standards (NOS) in an effort for integrating and unifying the skill development curriculum across the nation in order to bring the entire skill development education under the National Skill Qualification Framework. Apart from providing the comprehensive vocational training, CCEK NSDT programme is set to give Internship Training in their respective areas by capitalizing on the relationships established by various industry majors. This is organized with an intention to give the students extensive practical exposure to the current production scenario and latest trends in the industry. It can certainly contribute to the placement drives of the candidates.

The students who successfully complete the course programme are entitled to obtain dual certification. On the successful completion of the course programme students gets a state level certification from CCEK. Since most of the job roles under each technology sectors have been mapped to the NSDC, they will also get a national level certification from NSDC as well.

The students’ performance Evaluation is a unique quality evaluation programme that is meant to bring the participation of students in evaluating the academic quality of their classroom 7 practical sessions. At the end of every employability based subject level modules students are asked to make a self-assessment on their understanding of each module.
